Bayers Lake Mystery Walls

WHO? WHEN? WHY?
How could something so purposefully built and close to the city leave absolutely no trace or record as to its origins? This was one of my first thoughts when visiting this area. Just down the road from where thousands shop every day, this placement of tons upon tons of rocks was obviously the product of a lot of backbreaking labour - but for what purpose? These efforts were surely not expended for a small or short term purpose. Someone was driven to produce this significant result. Why?
Where mystery persists, theories abound - and this one is no exception. Theories range from an early (British) military purpose of some kind to a connection to Henry Sinclair and the search for the Holy Grail.
I hope that someday some light will be shed on this mystery and that development will not ever encroach on this special place.
